UAE Labour Law permits part time working in UAE
A Part Time job is kind of employment in which a person have to work for few hours. Sometimes we don't afford our expenses so we do part time job in order to get more money. So part time jobs are considered on less hours than a full time job.In every country, there are rules for each kind of job.
In UAE from the year 2010 till now, UAE Labour Law proposed certain conditions that permit a worker if he/she want to do part time job. For those purpose of part time job, the employee should get work permit from MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources Emiratisation).
Work Permit Fee
Part time work permit will cost a total fee of 600 AED which include 100 AED for application fee and 500 for approval fee.
According to the federal Decree Law No.2 of 2007, if a foreigner is found working for another company without any work permit the company which hired him/her will be fined 50,000 AED with other punishments.
Persons on Work Visa:
Those who are living in UAE on a work visa if they are Emiratis, foreign-employees or GCC nationals, they can do part time job if they have work permit from Ministry of Human Resources Emiratisation.
This part time work permit is valid for one year.Those who have part time work permit are allowed to work in another company as a second job for max 8 hours.
Persons on Family Visa:
The Persons who live on family visa can do part time jobs by having NOC from sponsor and work permit. These permits can be issued to men and women aged between 18 and 65 years.
