WhatsApp Web does not
currently allow you to change any of these settings via the desktop app or
browser version. At the moment, you can change them only through your phone.
WhatsApp will add these features to its beta versions soon, according to
WABetaInfo, a website that tracks upcoming WhatsApp features. As the company is
adding all its missing features gradually, WhatsApp Desktop will become
independent of your phone with the new multi-device feature.
WhatsApp is planning to add new features to the web version
of its app, called WhatsApp Web. You will soon be able to update your privacy
settings in the desktop version, including Last Seen, Profile Photo, About
section, etc.
In the screenshot above, you can change your privacy settings
in WhatsApp Desktop. You can change your Last Seen, Profile Photo, About, Read
Receipts, Groups (who can add you to groups), and Blocked Contacts.
