If you are friendly to unknown persons on social media or Whatsapp, rethink about it. Sharjah Police have recently warned the masses from engaging into a friendship with strangers. The reason is that they might probably trap you in a cage of blackmailing.

Actually, police have received many complaints about blackmailers. They are targeting most of the people on Whatsapp in many ways. Sometimes, they develop a friendly relationship with you in start and later, they start to harass you. They might blackmail you by using your personal information, pictures and other details to blackmail you. This case mostly happens with the women and girls.

But wait, it's not only the girls and women who might fall in danger because of responding to strangers. Men are also becoming a victim of this new strategy of blackmailing. The blackmailers send a message by congratulating you about FAKE PRIZES. The messages like "you have won a prize" are often used to trap a person. Beware of sharing your personal information with anyone without confirming the proper purpose and official source.

Police authorities are trying hard to control this issue. However, in their view, this problem can be controlled mainly with the help of masses. If people start to report such numbers, the police might effectively control this issue more quickly.
