THE LIST OF FOOD ITEMS BANNED IN DUBAI SCHOOLS | DUBAI EARNERS

Obesity is becoming one of the most irritating problems for the parents these days. According to surveys held in Dubai, every third or forth child is either obese or gained extra weight. As you know, the food trends were quite healthy in the past. However, with the introduction of junk foods and fast foods, people are using less healthy foods in their diets. The problems is that these junk foods have too much sugar or fats in them.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCHOOLS IN DUBAI:
Unfortunately, this trend is not only popular among adults, but children are also attracted to it. There is less use of healthy foods like vegetables and fruits. To deal with this issue, Dubai Food Control Department and Dubai Health Authority recently issued a guidance manual. This guidance manual basically instructs the parents and school authorities to promote certain foods and avoid the less healthy food.

GUIDE ABOUT FOOD AND ITS SAFETY:
This guidance manual is a combination of several proposals about the food, its usage and safety. In the first section, authorities are focusing on the food safety and hygiene in the schools. It directs the canteen and school management authorities to ensure the food safety. In addition to this, "the food safety, how it is kept, and how cleans the cooking process is," are the main points in this section.

In the next section, the nutritional aspect is under  the focus. There are guidelines about the usage of food. It focuses on the child's age group and their need of the certain minerals. The questions like what food suits the younger kids or what food should be consumed by the school kids are discussed in it. The last part of this guidance manual is "Nutritional Guidelines for School" which presents the examples of certain school meals.
