Use Following precautions and save yourself from such ATM skimming fraud.

Too Many ATM frauds being reported lately.

Too many ATM fraud being reported lately.Use following precautions and watch the images carefully in order to update yourself about how these crime actually take place and how your data is compromised so that you can save yourself from such ATM skimming fraud.

Always cover numeric keypad with your hands while inputting your ATM passcode.

Mostly they have data copying device attached to the opening where you enter your card into the machine and another camera pointed towards keypad to record your passcode.

Without passcode though they won't be able to withdraw cash from ATM but they would be still able to make a duplicated card using the data they copied from your card and then use it for POS transactions at shopping malls super stores petrol pumps etc until you notice visa sms alert.

so always look out for any suspicious attachment that might be discreetly attached to ATM machines and make it a habit to cover keypad with your other hand so that keystrokes can't be recorded.

another option to keep your money safe is by getting a secondary/supplementary/lite card with less daily withdrawal and usage limits.
Such cards can be linked to your primary accounts for funds transfer but your main account doesn't get exposed in case your supplementary card data is compromised.(contact your bank branch to inquire about availability of such supplementary card option.)

250 credit card customers in Dubai affected

Credit card details of many UAE residents have been stolen and the central bank has asked financial institutions to inform customers and cancel the cards.

"Please note that these details have been compromised and thus, contact the persons mentioned in the enclosed list if they are your customers, and take the required action to cancel the relevant credit cards," said a circular sent by the UAE Central Bank to local and foreign banks and finance companies operating in the UAE.
