New fees on Vehicle registration and license in UAE | UAE Employment

New Fees for issuing driving licence, vehicle registration and testing in UAE.

Vehicles being checked at a testing centre before the renewal of registration. Light vehicle owners will now have to pay Dh400 for first time registration and Dh350 for renewal.

It comes in the wake of the federal decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The decision to revise fees aims at regulating traffic services and safety.

Owners of light vehicles will have to pay Dh400 if it is being registered for the first time. For renewal, the fees would be Dh350 (earlier it was Dh250). For change of ownership, it will cost Dh350 and for re-registration Dh400.

Similar charges are levied on registration of public transport as well. Similarly, light vehicle testing fee that was Dh120 in Dubai is now Dh150.
The revised structure also includes an increase in the fees for opening a traffic file for driving licence, which will now cost Dh200.
While the issuance of driving licence for one year, renewal or reissuance of lost and damaged driving licence will cost Dh100, the issuance of driving licence for more than one year will cost Dh300.
