With the coming of 2017, many people have started exploring new career options. In all the sectors, companies will be hiring talent more and more. But, there are a few industries which will be on a real big lookout for new employees.
The recent Monster Employment Index for Middle East has examined thousands of job listings online and recognised the professions that are in demand in the UAE currently.
So, whether you are fresh out of college going to kick-start your career or a professional thinking of changing job or maybe, even sector, have a look at list of professions that are highly hunted.
According to the Monster index, UAE companies are vigorously on a lookout for professionals who have the credentials or knowledge in purchase, supply chain, and logistics. This occupation group registered a 43% growth in demand in 2015 compared to 2016.
Software, telecom, and hardware professionals are also popular as this group registered a 40% growth.
Next on the list is group of marketing, arts, communications, and creative professionals, which registered a 33% growth in December 2015 compared to 2016.
Although overall hiring activity in UAE remains positive yet finding a new job may be a challenge if you are an office administration, health care, customer service, or human resources professional, as these jobs recorded a decline of 3 to 5%.
According to Sanjay Modi, MD at Monster.com for India, South East Asia, and Middle East, “Professional outlook for UAE remains very positive and it is predicted that the country will see a high level of employment in 2017”.
Talking about the sectors with the most vacancies, banking, insurance industry, IT, telecom, and production/manufacturing, automotive, and internet service provider, and financial services are the most lucrative. On the other hand, there was less employment activity noted in the public relations, advertising, media, entertainment, education, hospitality, and market research sectors.
