A brand new fleet of police vehicles with the new designed logo and colour were revealed for the first time in Abu Dhabi on Sunday morning.
The new police patrols, which represent the new identity of Abu Dhabi Police, were revealed during a ceremony held at the Armed Forces Officers Club.
Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, the Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Maktoum Ali Al Sharifi, the Director-General of Abu Dhabi Police, and other senior officials were at the event, and even drove the new vehicles from the Armed Forces Officers Club to the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters after the ceremony.
The ceremony was also attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who also took a tour around the new vehicles.
"At the end of the day, this is a symbol, it's an emblem - changing it doesn't mean we will change our work. But we became a local agency and wanted to have our own identity and image," said the Commander-in-Chief.
The new police patrols include the words 'Abu Dhabi Police,' on the sides of the vehicles and the new logo, featured on the front.
