The UAE announced New Year holiday for the private sector on Thursday. According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the private sector will get a leave on January 1, 2018 (Monday).
Work will resume on January 2, 2018.
The UAE government had earlier announced New Year holidays for the public sector. Employees the government sector will get a leave on December 31, 2017 (Sunday) and January 1, 2018 (Monday). As the year begins with a long weekend, work will resume on January 2, 2018.
The FAHR extended its congratulations on the occasion to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the country’s citizens and residents.
