Must Visit These Beautiful Places Of Dubai In Long Weekend

Experience the city’s best in three days

Whether it’s relaxation, sightseeing or partying (or all of them), Dubai is the right place to spend a long bank holiday weekend. Read on for our guide to make the most of a short visit to our city.

Beach life

If rest and relaxation is your modes operand, Dubai has you covered. Start with a dose of Vitamin D at Kite Beach, Jumeirah Open Beach, or the (slightly busier) Jumeirah Beach Residence - known to locals as JBR. Also perfect for relaxation is a leisurely afternoon in one of the city’s lush public parks such as ZabeelMushrif or Creek Park.

Seeking serenity

Perhaps the most relaxing pastime Dubai has to offer is its range of world-class spas. With services ranging from luxurious massages to beauty services and traditional hammam treatments, visitors are spoilt for choice. Traditional Ottoman opulence abound at Talise Spa in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, while JW Marriott Marquis’ Saray Spa is a sanctuary in the heart of Business Bay, where treatments draw on the best of relaxation methods from around the world.

The bucket list

It would be a crime to come to Dubai without ticking off the major landmarks. The Creek and the old town are great starts to understanding Dubai’s history, while the Burj al Arab – the world’s most luxurious hotel – and The Dubai Mall are tributes to Dubai’s modernity. Of course, a visit to the Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world – is also a must. Book into the At.mosphere lounge on level 122 so you can take your time soaking up the views. It’s a little on the pricey side, but you’ll skip the crowds on the observation deck and enjoy a far more relaxed experience.

Weekend revelry

While the city is home to a host of exclusive nightspots - Cavalli Club and People by Crystal included – the weekend really kicks off from Friday afternoon, when visitors and residents alike descend on restaurants all over the city for Friday brunch. With unlimited food and drink deals, this is a popular activity for large groups to enjoy each other’s company – and some delicious food. The brunch offerings at Atlantis The Palm and The Westin are renowned for their fabulous, buzzy atmospheres.
