Filipinos travelling to Taiwan will be able to enter the country without a visa, started November 1.
The facility is only available to travellers who wish to visit the country for up to two weeks; for stays of longer duration, travellers will have to apply for a visa before entering the country.
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (Teco) in the Philippines on Monday announced that this initiative will undergo a nine-month trial period, from November 1 until July 31.
While these sites are still accessible through mobile apps, their access from web remains unavailable.
Filipino visitors must also have no criminal record in Taiwan.
